PAXTON, Ill. (WCIA) — Police in Paxton are looking for two suspects following an armed robbery Friday evening at Paxton Variety Liquors.
According to Paxton Police Chief Coy Cornett, the department responded to the report of an armed robbery at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 27. Two men brandished firearms and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the liquor store.
Both suspects fled the scene, and no arrests have been made. Paxton Police was assisted by the Ford County Sheriff’s Office and the investigation is still ongoing. No injuries were reported as the result of the robbery and the department is currently reviewing cameras in the area for tips on the incident.
