Stefan de Vrij insists Inter want to ‘prove that we have improved’ since their Derby della Madonnina defeat to Milan, as they get a rematch in tonight’s Supercoppa Italiana Final.
It kicks off at the Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh at 19.00 GMT.

If they are still on level terms after 90 minutes, it will go straight to a penalty shoot-out, so there will be no extra time in this Final Four format.
De Vrij has extra Inter motivation
“We are focusing on what we need to do and we feel ready for this big final,” De Vrij told Sport Mediaset.
Inter are trying to make history as the first club ever to win the Supercoppa Italiana for four years in a row, which is only one of the reasons why they are considered the favourites going in.
De Vrij was asked if that status adds extra pressure or primarily just makes the Nerazzurri proud?
“Being considered the favourites is something outside of our locker room, we do not think about that sort of thing. We’re fired up and can’t wait to play this match.”
The only Serie A defeat of the season so far has been against Milan, falling 2-1 back in September 2024, which ended a run of six consecutive Inter victories in the Derby della Madonnina.
“We had a bad performance against Milan in September and they deserved to win, so tonight we want to prove that we have improved since the start of the season.”
