KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Temperatures are expected to stay in the low and mid-30s throughout the week during a bout of wintry weather in East Tennessee and beyond. During the wintry weather, a few school districts said they planned to either close or delay opening.
Some said they decided to change the schedule due to hazardous road conditions.
The announcements came as a winter storm swept across parts of the central United States, bringing the “heaviest snowfall in a decade” to some cities along with concerns about possible ice and strong winds.
