Police are searching for two sisters reported missing in Aberdeen, who were last seen three days ago.

Police Scotland has asked for the public’s help to trace Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both 32, who were last seen early on Tuesday morning on CCTV cameras in the city centre.

Police dogs and marine search units have been deployed in the search for the sisters, who were seen crossing Victoria Bridge close to the city’s port, and heading along the River Dee towards Aberdeen Boat Club.

The women, who are part of a set of triplets, are described as white and of slim build with long, brown hair.

Ch Insp Darren Bruce said: “Extensive inquiries are ongoing to trace Eliza and Henrietta and searches are being carried out in and around the area where they were last seen.

“The Torry side of Victoria Bridge where they were last seen has many commercial and industrial units.

“Searches are ongoing here and we would urge businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area to please review their CCTV footage for early morning on Tuesday 7 January 2025 and contact us if it holds anything that may be relevant to our investigation. We also ask anyone with dashcam footage from that time to contact us.”

The women’s brother, Jozsef, told BBC News that their mother spoke to them on Saturday and both seemed “fine”.

The BBC reported that their sister Edit Huszti, the other triplet, talked to them on New Year’s Eve via video call and said they seemed cheerful.

Police Scotland is asking anyone with information about the women’s disappearance to contact 101 quoting incident number 0735 of Tuesday, 7 January 2025.
