The Puerto Princesa City Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF) handled three community safety concerns between January 11 and 12, addressing reports of property damage, road safety, and public security.
At 10:20 p.m. on January 11, ACTF personnel stationed near J1 Bar in the Junction 1 area assisted the establishment’s manager, who reported an issue with customers.
The customers, reportedly intoxicated, had urinated on a speaker in one of the KTV rooms. The management requested compensation of ₱2,100 for the damaged equipment.
The task force mediated the matter, and the customers paid the amount. The case was resolved on-site.
On January 12, at 1:27 a.m., anti-crime personnel stationed at Mendoza Park noticed a group of motorcycle riders appearing to prepare for a street race along Rizal Avenue.
When they approached, the riders fled, and one was found at a Caltex gas station. Upon questioning, the rider admitted to not having a driver’s license. The task force issued a citation and impounded the motorcycle at the San Pedro ACTF office.
At 3:30 a.m. on the same day, a motorist reported a man carrying a knife near J1 Bar.
The ACTF personnel intercepted the man, who was questioned about the weapon. He claimed it was for self-defense and said he was on his way to meet someone.
The man was later turned over to Police Station 1 for further action, as no formal complaint was filed.
