One person from Hastings Highlands has been charged with assault after an altercation Monday morning.
Just after 11 a.m., police responded to a disturbance at a residence where one person was arrested at the scene.
On top of the assault charge the accused faces a charge of mischief under $5,000.
They were held for a bail hearing and later released by the courts with conditions.
They are scheduled to appear in court in Bancroft on Feb. 4.
