Waterless Urinals? Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath Backs Pitch Made At Shark Tank India, Says It’s A ‘No-Brainer’ To Support Them

Shark Tank India is in full swing, as its fourth installment or Season 4, is currently being aired. While many pitches made by entrepreneurs have captured attention, not all of them receive additional support from outside.

Nithin Kamath Backs Shark Tank Pitch

Supporting a pitch made by Zerodor or Ekam Eco Solutions has received backing from another major new-age business major.

Trading platform Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath backed the pitch made by company founder Uttam Banerjee on Shark Tank India.

Zerodor or Ekam Eco Solutions, is a company that provides solutions for sanitary requirements and makes ‘Waterless Urinals’.

Water Bills Down By 50 per cent

Backing the claims made in the video by the company founder-ceo, Kamath took to X to mark his support.

In his post on X, Kamath said that his company (Zerodha) has used their products. “We have been using Zerodor (@EkamEco) for the men’s urinals at our offices for the last six months or so. Our water bills are down 50%—we did not expect it to be this much.”, added Kamath.

Kamath further added, “It seems like a no-brainer for offices, restaurants, etc., where we have managed washrooms. They were on @sharktankindia around a year back. Here is how it works.”

Kamath also said that his company’s Rainmatter by Zerodha is supporting this venture.

“We liked the product because they are doing whatever is necessary to preserve water, which has become supercritical. We are supporting them through @Rainmatterin.”, added Kamath.

The Pitch

Nithin Kamath also added a blog attached to his post explaining the functioning of the system.

The product pitched in the session was a piece of retrofit equipment that can be deployed in any commercially available urinal.

This creates a one-way passage, not allowing the discharged matter (urine or ammonia) to come back, avoiding the need for water in the process. This pitch also involved a specially designed urinal for women.
