DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A man is dead after Decatur Police said he was stabbed early Thursday morning.
The stabbing happened around 4:10 a.m. in the area of Church Street and Lealand Avenue. Segreant Brian Earles said in a news release that responding officers found a 26-year-old man at the scene and took him to Decatur Memorial Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
Earles said detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division have conducted multiple interviews and are processing the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
