Sweden has a new tunnel for fish.
Some fish, like perch and bream, are not strong swimmers. For almost 380 years, they can not swim between Lake Malaren and the Baltic Sea. Now, the tunnel helps them swim between these waters. It is part of a new project in Stockholm. Strong fish like salmon can jump, but other fish cannot.
The tunnel uses stones to look natural. A camera can watch the fish as they swim. Otters also use the tunnel. The goal is to help the fish grow in number and make the lake better for nature.
Difficult words: tunnel (a long path under something), natural (when nature makes something, rather than people), otter (a water animal with four legs and dark brown fur).
