Freeze the Fall: VHS | 604 Records
Just referencing VHS tapes in the tune’s title lets you know that this is going to be a ride back into ancient technologies and classic terror motifs. Sure enough, this song is just packed with buzz saw riffs and buzzing saws. Props to Two-Six Films Production for a great bit o’ gore. Kids: Don’t do this at home.

Sabrina Carpenter: Taste | Island Records
What’s that you say? The only video in this list with a parental advisory is by the singer behind such pop ditties as Espresso? It’s true. This clip with Carpenter and the delightful Jenny Ortega is an extended gorefest married to a bouncy midtempo tune that really becomes far scarier when you dive a bit deeper into the creepy “you’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you” verse and others.
Carpenter brings the Short n’ Sweet Tour to the Pacific Coliseum on Nov. 4.
