OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn police were seen combing through shell casings Thursday evening after responding to a shots fired call.
An alert X (Twitter) went out around 8:24 p.m. that Oak Lawn police officers were investigating a report of gunfire on Cicero Avenue near 105th Street.
Traffic was shut down on Cicero for approximately an hour while officers examined shell casings.

A witness on the scene said there were shell casings scattered on the median and some in the northbound lane of Cicero Avenue.
Police said the scene was secure and that no one was shot.
