There’s usually at least one new high-quality movie produced by Netflix each week. What prevents commercial networks from doing similarly?
And, to be clear, I don’t mean that all Netflix movies are good or even ones I’d watch, but they are routinely pumping out a wide variety of movies. It seems peculiar that commercial television has largely abandoned even trying to do anything interesting in this space.
