Unlocking the Golden Order Seal in Elden Ring: A Guide

The Golden Order Seal in Elden Ring is a unique sacred seal that bears no specific form. It is designed to amplify the power of Golden Order Fundamentalist Incantations. This lightweight seal requires both Faith and Intelligence to effectively cast spells.

In this guide, we will take you through the steps to find the Golden Order Seal, the most powerful sacred seal available in Elden Ring. Additionally, we’ll assist you in creating a character build that focuses on the incantations of the Golden Order, capable of taking down most bosses and enemies in a single hit.

Location of the Golden Order Seal

The Golden Order Seal is located on a deceased body at the Minor Erdtree Church, situated on the Altus Plateau.

To access this area, start from the Grand Lift of Dectus Site of Grace and travel northeast to reach the Altus Highway Junction.

You can reach the Altus Plateau by either traversing through the Ruin-Strewn Precipice or by locating both halves of the Dectus Medallion.

From the Altus Highway Junction, head east until you find the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace. You cannot miss this landmark if you are approaching Leyndell, the Royal Capital, via the normal path.

From the Outer Wall Phantom Tree, instead of heading north, go south until you reach the top of the hill. This route leads directly to the Minor Erdtree Church.

Within the church, you’ll find a lifeless body next to the Site of Grace. Interact with this body to collect the Golden Order Seal in Elden Ring.

Stats and Requirements for the Golden Order Seal

To wield the Golden Order Seal, you will need 17 Faith and 17 Intelligence. It has a D scaling in both attributes.

This seal cannot be enhanced using Ashes of War or consumables like Grease, nor can it be infused with magic.

The Golden Order Seal can be upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones, reaching a maximum damage output of 391 at its highest level (+10) when you have 80 Faith and 80 Intelligence.

At +9, the scaling of the Golden Order Seal improves to A for both Faith and Intelligence. This seal has no weight and enhances the Golden Order Fundamentalist Incantations by 10%, affecting spells like Discus of Light, Radagon’s Ring of Light, Triple Rings of Light, and Litany of Proper Death.

When compared to the Erdtree Seal, the Golden Order Seal outperforms it at 60 Faith/Intelligence. However, if you’re focusing solely on a Faith-based build, the Erdtree Seal offers better scaling and damage output with a lower investment.

Optimal Build for the Golden Order Seal

This build is centered on the Fundamentalist Golden Order Incantations and weaponry that scales with Faith or Intelligence.

For this build, we suggest using the Sword of Night and Flame, which you can acquire from Caria Manor. Alternatively, consider equipping the Golden Order Greatsword as a secondary weapon alongside the Golden Order Seal.

This build is designed for level 150, so we recommend allocating points as follows:

  • Vigor: 40
  • Intelligence: 50
  • Faith: 50

For talismans, consider the following options:

  • Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
  • Ritual Sword Talisman
  • Sacred Scorpion Charm
  • Magic Scorpion Charm

Recommended spells for this build include:

  • Golden Vow
  • Blessing of the Erdtree
  • Discus of Light
  • Triple Rings of Light
  • Litany of Proper Death
  • Radagon’s Rings of Light
  • Elden Stars

For gear, choose the Radiant Gold Mask to boost the effectiveness of your Golden Order Incantations by an additional 10%. Pair this with the Veteran’s Set for enhanced damage protection and mobility.
