The United States Men’s National Team have added a second game to their annual January Camp. Today, U.S. Soccer announced that the USMNT will face Costa Rica in a friendly at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando on January 22nd. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00pm ET.
The match will come four days after the USMNT plays Venezuela at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. With the matches occurring outside of an official FIFA international window, it is expected that head coach Mauricio Pochettino will bring in mostly domestic players and players who may be on a winter break from their club.
Another opportunity to start a big year off right.

“For a long time the January Camp has been an important part of the development of the National Team. It’s a unique opportunity to work with our MLS players closely and then finish with a good challenge against Costa Rica,” Pochettino said in a statement. “Orlando has always been an amazing host for U.S. Soccer and we are excited for another chance to play in front of their fans.”
Orlando’s Inter&Co Stadium has been a successful place for the USMNT to play. They are 6-0-0 all-time there, including World Cup qualifiers and Concacaf Nations League matches. The USMNT, who are ranked 16th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, will hope to extend that record against the Ticos, who are ranked 54th. The USMNT is 19W-17L-6D all-time against Costa Rica, with all 19 wins coming at home. The team will hope to continue that trend on January 22nd.
