MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — A handful of current Bulldogs are set to continue their playing careers beyond the high school ranks.
Four new college signees are set to play college baseball. Mason Orton is slated to pitch at NIU, compiling 153 strikeouts over the past two seasons with a 12-1 career record.
Bulldog teammates Gavin Bailey and Camden Heinold will continue playing together in college at Southwestern Illinois College.
Heinold is a .324 career hitter with a .454 OBP, while Bailey had nine home runs, 47 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 2024.
Miles Woolsey is set to continue his baseball career at Purdue Northwest, where he hopes to pitch right away as a freshman.
The lone golf signing was Reis Claybrooke, who will be close to home for college at EIU.
