PETALING JAYA: Dzulkifli Ahmad, who served as the third Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief, has launched an academy to combat money laundering and corruption.
The Amlac Academy said in a statement that it was dedicated to providing tailored programmes, education, training, and research aimed at enhancing integrity and combating corruption.
“We are committed to shaping a future where financial systems are transparent, secure, and free from corruption,” it quoted Dzulkifli, its president, as saying.
“This academy embodies our lifelong passion for fighting corruption, and we believe every professional must be equipped with the knowledge and tools to combat money laundering and corruption effectively.”
Dzulkifli was appointed as MACC chief on Aug 1, 2016. He resigned in May 2018 after Pakatan Harapan formed the government following its victory in the 14th general election.
The academy said its flagship offerings include the professional diploma in corporate anti-corruption management (PD CAM), a six-month diploma programme designed with industrial training methods and led by subject matter experts.
It is a collaborative effort between Amlac Academy, the Kuala Lumpur International Education Consortium, the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia School of Professional and Continuing Education, and the London Examinations Board (LEB).
The PD CAM, totalling 36 credit hours, includes topics such as domestic laws on anti-corruption and anti-money laundering, corruption risk management, and corporate liability.
The academy’s first batch of graduates – totalling 17 – includes three prominent business owners who also hold C-suite positions in the corporate sector.
“All graduates were recognised by the LEB, with certification acknowledged by the Association of Certified Professionals in London,” it said.
