The Pantry closing in Tuscola, owners look for new management



TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) — For over 10 years, The Pantry has served meals and treats to the residents of Tuscola. On Dec. 24 however, the restaurant owners will close their doors for the last time.

The business took to Facebook to announce that the owners would be retiring after Christmas Eve. They also said that the business is for sale and to reach out to them with any inquiries.

The business also added that if they “do not find the right buyer, [they] will likely have an online sale or auction.”

The Pantry opened on Aug. 9, 2011, and for the past 13 years they have served soups, sandwiches, and more. The Pantry will remain open from now until Dec. 24. According to their Facebook page, their hours are Monday-Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The restaurant will take orders for pies, cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies and other treats until Dec. 20.
