EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Part of Interstate 70 shut down in Effingham County Wednesday morning after a semi-truck rolled over.
The rollover happened close to Lily Creek at 5:30 a.m. Officials with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office said two people were inside the truck. One person has minor injuries as a result.
Illinois State Police said all of the lanes are clear of debris, but the left lane was shut down to allow for the tow truck to remove the overturned semi. As of 9:45 a.m., they told us the scene had been cleared. The tow truck is still working to remove the vehicle.
State Police added that no further information is available.
