CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) – Illinois women’s basketball improved to 10-2 with a win against Southern University on Friday.
The Illini beat the Jaguars 69-57 in their final non-conference game of the regular season. The Illini finish 9-1 on their out of conference slate.
Jasmine Brown-Hagger led Illinois with 20 points on Friday, 16 of which came in the first half. Kendall Bostic notched her 42nd career double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Illinois is 0-1 in Big Ten play after losing to Ohio State on Dec. 8. It will jump back into league play with a home game on Saturday, Dec. 28 against Oregon.
