It’s been a ‘really good year’ at Bancroft’s new electronics store North Hasting IT.
Thats according to owner-operator Martin Budarick.
Prior to opening the store Budarick worked for years offering tech support and selling electronics at McCaskies in Bancroft, up until it closed in 2023.
Budarick says that when McCaskies closed he saw that there was a ‘hole that needed to be filled’ in the community.
“I can help people, seeing what they need, what they go through technology-wise, there needs to be somewhere for them to go, to learn about the changes in technology and the rise in scams. They just need somewhere to talk about what they’ve seen on their computer or what might be worrying them. Its’ a place for sales, but also technological support.”
Budarick says that he sells everything from printer ink to cables and that what is in demand at the shop can depend on the season.
“Come hunting season we see a lot of SD cards for people’s trail cameras. In the summer we see a lot of universal laptop chargers for the tourists that visit because they bring up their laptops to work, but then sometimes they forget their chargers.”
North Hastings IT will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Monday. They are located at 10 Hastings St. N in Bancroft.
Budarick says everyone should come out and say hello.
There will be cupcakes from McGee’s Cakes on Main and 10 percent off most store items until 6 p.m.
