Curious as to how the communities feels towards thing like water drops, snowflakes landing, etc. appearing on camera for third person type games.
Does it break immersion? Is it similar to lens flares and bokehs in first person games? Does tone and esthetic play a part?
I'm working on a hobby project that's third person perspective. Overall style is realism so having raindrops appear on the screen feels a bit out of place but it looks nice and helps indicate a shift in weather. What's the concensus?
